Hi everyone, I’m sure this question gets asked time to time. What is the Max Cruising RPM recommended for long runs /cruising time?  A little history: I was running at 2600 rpm’s wot, which I think is factory recommended. We tweaked the (5 Blade prop) per recommended on this site to 2700 rpm for longer life of engine. My WOT RPM is now 2,700 rpm. Long runs I usually cruise 2200-2300. Thanks for your help!

I have a single 6 CTA. Usually cruise at about 2000-2100 since the flow scans show a much better fuel burn vs. the little add’l speed I get higher up. Then I run it al the way up for about ten minutes at the end of the day. I did the same as you: dialed in the prop to get 2700 per Tony’s recommendation on this site. Not a lot of hours on it since then, but no complaints so far.

    2200 to 2250

I run 2200 to 2250 generally. 22.5 knots.  Sometimes I’ll run 2300 if I’m in the mood for 24 knots.
