The EnviroVent CCV kit is a simple and cost effective system for your Cummins 6BTA series marine diesel. The Envirovent was designed to be the perfect and simple upgrade replacement for the very troublesome factory supplied Walker System or factory systems that can cause so much unnecessary grief on any B series Cummins (excess blow-by, Turbo leaks & seal failures, gasket leaks, excess oil consumption and high oil pan temperatures from whipping oil).

Because of the factory Cummins B series crankcase venting design and the very shallow oil pan design, the engine is subject to high crankcase pressures if even slightly over-filled (Read Pan Capacities for Cummins Marine Engines) and when installed in a boat with V-Drives, the only place you can effectively vent the engine properly is on the #6 valve cover (flywheel end of the engine). This applies to all mechanical B’s (the ones with the 6 individual valve covers).

We also offer valve cover breather extension kits to help with engines with very high blow-by (both V-drive and inline drives). Although they won’t fix the blow-by (that is an internal engine wear condition), we can “contain” it close to 100% and keep it out of sight and out of mind.

Will well over 2000 EnviroVents in the field (1996 when I developed version 1), we are positive this is the most effective CCV kit available for these engines in Marine use.

CONFIGURATION:

Timing Cover: Preferred vent location for direct drive engines. Must verify that there is clearance in this location and that no mechanical tachometer is installed here.

Valve Cover:  Valve cover is preferred for V-drive engines, and can also be used for direct drive engines when the timing cover location is not practical.

Note:  The QSC Turbo has a very tapered inlet.  The S&B air filter works just fine, we have a lot of customers running these without any issues. But be aware that the filter may not tighten up and “Feel” like its on there super solid.  A little blue rector seal or something sticky helps a lot.

OIL FILTER EXTENSION KIT

The twin engine kit comes with one oil filter extension when the remote oil filter extension is added. Most twin engine boats have only one remote oil filter setup.  If you need two remote oil filter extensions, order 2 qty of the single engine kit with the extension.
