Our Zinc Kits are configured for the most common OEM setups, however, many variations exist and many engines are not setup the way they came from the factory. The OEM Mechanical B and C series engines, as well as the QSB 5.9 and the QSL9 engines, typically came with gear coolers that do not have any zinc provisions. Many Aftermarket gear coolers for these engines will take 2 qty 3/8″ zincs.
Check for the presence of gear cooler zincs if you have a: 4BT, 4BTA, 6BT, 6BTA, QSB 5.9, or QSL9
Typically you will require the two extra 3/8″ zincs for the: QSC 6.7, QSC, or M11
