Rarely we have come across a 6CTA that requires a slightly shorter belt. Possibly due to an aftermarket alternator or different alternator bracket. Please look below at the typical 6CTA belt wrap. If yours looks like the the blue belt, this should be the correct belt.

Above: The standard Belt wrap for the 6CTA with a blue belt.
Below: The blue belt installed on 6CTA with the large vs small diameter coolant pump pulley. Either configuration works fine the tensioner can make up the difference.
Below: A 6CTA with a different type of alternator bracket. If you have the small frame alternator with this bracket, the Blue belt will be too long.
