Corey Schmidt

Corey joined Seaboard Marine in 2013 after 15 years in the Healthcare industry as an IT Professional. With the marine diesel industry trend moving closer towards electronically controlled propulsion engines, Corey has spent much of his time becoming knowledgeable and familiarizing himself with the inner-workings of the engines wiring, ECM controllers, Mercury SmartCraft Systems, and industry standard engine data protocols such as SAE J1939, NMEA 2000, etc.

Ultimately this pursuit has led to the creation of a full-line of custom SMX digital displays that provide end-users with valuable, feature-rich engine and vessel instrumentation. In line with the advancements of technology, Corey also manages the www.sbmar.com website to ensure that as much valuable industry-related information, general boat and engine guidance, and value-added service parts are readily available for the boating and marine diesel community to share. Corey holds a Bachelors degree in Business Management from CSU Channel Islands.
