November 6, 2020 at 5:55 pm Good Day All, I’ve had an issue with my TD gear stuck in ahead position. Here’s what I’ve done so far to rectify the problem with no luck. Hopefully someone can help me out with my issue. First we thought it was a screwed gear, which still may be, but want to rule out all other possibilities before purchasing new trans. Problem: Stuck in Forward gear. MG5065A TD Electrical shift. • Changed Processor • Checked Fuses in Processo…

April 25, 2017 at 6:48 pm Hi everyone. Every year I’m having to change these damper plates. I’ve come to the conclusion that these gears are too light for my application on a QSB 5.9 with max RPM 2650 on my boat. Are there a heavier duty plates available or should i have to upgrade to a heavier duyy trans like the 5075? Attached is a pic of my recent change of plate. 1.72:1 reduction How do the ZF boxes compare to the TD?
10 RepliesJune 19, 2019 at 9:10 am Good Day guys, Just thought I’d resurrect this post. We’ve tried the Vulkan torsion coupler which is said to be far better than the rest stated. However we get a deep rattle noise when installed. So I’m looking for a heavier duty CFR 178 coupling rubbers. Any help greatly appreciated. Regards, Anthoni

ECM Voltage

May 18, 2017 at 10:43 am Hello Everyone. Lately I have been getting an alarm on my QSB 5.9 which reads “ECM High Battery Volts”. This alarm is intermittent and sounds everyday but does not last all day. Comes and goes when it feels like. Has anyone had any experience with this alarm? I’m thinking it’s a control module of some sort which has its own battery supply?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Attached a pic of my display. Regards.
11 RepliesOctober 11, 2018 at 6:31 am Yes, the voltage regulator is an internal part of every Cummins supplied alternator… The part is cheap ($15-ish) but is usually only sourced and installed by someone in the business ( meaning a local alternator repair facility).. Tony

April 24, 2017 at 9:15 am Hello everyone. I’m a newbie on this forum. Looking forward to using this forum as a info seeker and learning experience. This morning I had an alarm code 132 “Low sensor throttle”. I have no idea where to look for any issues. Boat seems to perform fine with no issues. I’m stomped! Lol. Hopefully nothing too serious. Any info or help greatly appreciated!
2 RepliesApril 25, 2017 at 4:48 am Thanks Corey. Stands to reason. Two days ago I had to remove transmission. Prior to doing this I disconnected the power to ECU gear junction and a few other things. This could have been a result of. The alarm has not surfaced again. Thanks
