Remember my politics on “Fuelt…

May 9, 2017 at 8:00 pm All cutless type bearings are “sloppy” as to a shaft fit , Ā Maybe a Ā new 1.5″ cutless is .010-015″ over… If the Bearing is in perfect alignment with the shaft going thru it, yes you can always feel some lift.. As that alignment gets skewed, than is gets less and less.. Another issue is the ID of the strut as to concentricity–Many struts have out of round bores and will crush the bearing as it’s pressed i…

April 7, 2017 at 8:17 am I have done this no matter what direction I will get 2370 fuel burn is 30.1 Ā to 29.6 speed is 24 knots in 42 provincial Ā so tony I can safely run say 2100 if I am in a hurry . I took a long time choosing my gear to get where you say and want a long trouble free exhaust and turbo . I do go 50 to 75 fish quite often so getting my best safe cruise is what I am looking forĀ

April 4, 2017 at 2:22 pm Derek,   You CANNOT measure or gauge TOTAL SYSTEM capacity.. You can only measure OIL PAN Capacity, engine off sitting at the dock Ā The number for you engie are in the ling–DO NOT exceed thouse on your engine as it is very susceptible to oil pan windage or “oil whipping” and can turn the oil into a milkshake– IMO, the sump on the QSM ( front sump) design is backwards for 90+% of the boat out there..   Tony
