    • Engine wonā€™t crank after losing fuel shut off solenoid

      October 24, 2021 at 6:21 am After running a few hours yesterday we stopped at our destination and started to smell something burning. Opened the engine hatch and found smoke coming from the solenoid. Went to shut off the key but motor Stayed running so I lifted the lever on the solenoid to shut it down. Now the motor wonā€™t do anything at all, wonā€™t crank just completely dead. The motor is a 6bta 5.9 315 hp. Thanks for the help and figured I would ask first before I start r…

      October 25, 2021 at 12:17 pm Really not something that can be “solved” over a forum. You need to do investigate all with a multimeter starting at the engine battery and working your way back to the engine and ignition/start circuit. Keep us posted…

      October 30, 2018 at 6:15 pm I have Cummins 6bta 315hp. The starboard throttle creeps back when underway, and has a little spring back just above idle speed. Is there an adjustment that I can do to stiffen up the throttle? Thank you

      August 5, 2017 at 1:39 pm I have twin 6bta 315 hp my port motor is fine till I put a real load on it 2000 rpm and heats up to 200 degrees. When I slow down it drops fairly quickly. I have a new seaboard water pump, went through raw water side cleaned heat exchanger. What else should I look for. Thanks
