May 14, 2019 at 1:54 pm All, Have a QSM-11- 2005.. 1100 hours.. developed a leak, outboard side (port Engine), appears to be under / next too the Fuel Cooler. Bolts for oil pan appear to be clean, no obvious leaks from the bolt or gasket. mechanic has been on boat twice changing a few bolts, said he fixed it.. 3rd time he jumped on board, now he says its a ‘cracked oil pan’.. May 19, 2019 at 2:20 pm Ya, looks like a crack from the pictures. Itā€™s worth sanding the paint off to confirm its in the metal and not just the pain. Other than that there really is no other option other than a new pan. Hopefully it can be done without jacking up the engine saving some alignment time. Phil

July 19, 2017 at 4:52 am Per the book, a 10 micron with a WIF is used before the on-engine fuel filter. You would only want to run that 30 as a mud filter if there were another finer micron ahead of it before the on-engine filter to make up a multi stage system.

On both engines, I have developed a leak on the raw water pipe fitting. Last year, mechanic who performed service came back, , changed the O’Ring on starboard and all is good. He noted, from time to time this happens. This weekend, the port motor developed same small leak, at cruise the raw water pipe leaks… its salt water…

June 1, 2017 at 5:14 pm Glenn, Sorry for the late reply–Just been super bust and I needed to read thru it all a few time.. Your numbers (GPH at particular RPM) are all over the place and I do not have a solid answer than this………………..But I will say this with 100% confidence.. 1) GPH readoust can vary some (or a lot) just because of the way it in measured.. It’s an “algorithm” based on many parameters the the…
