      June 7, 2017 at 1:48 pm All you Cummins gurus I have two bolts bad on a Port Engine . Both are the ones that hold the injector line stanchions . One is stripped out ( got a 8mm x 1.25 heli coil for that ) and one looks to be stripped and broken off inside …..however both had a 8 mm x 25mm bolt just rattling around in the hole . The real question is ” are the bolts all the same around the intake ? The front most one looks pretty straightforward as…

      June 12, 2017 at 2:54 pm Good for you, sure is nice to be “tool savvy” and be able to do these types of odd fixes. Bottoming taps are key for blind hole work. For anyone not familiar, see attached, the bottoming tap has a flat end (not tapered) so the cutting threads run the full surface (for full depth)…

      May 9, 2017 at 8:29 pm I know this topic has been discussed many times before and all indications tell me that Blue #5 is the trick stuff for hoses .  I have a set from Tony and am ready to install this week. I get it ,  but it seems like it would make the hoses slippery on the connections and more prone to blow off than a dry connection. What am I missing here ?  Trying to avoid a ” Jackpot “   Thanks

      May 11, 2017 at 1:15 pm Tom, If all is well as to no annoying weeping or leaking then you are good as is.  As far as heat, Rectorseal on anything at “coolant temperature” is no issue.
