October 12, 2017 at 7:01 pm Just for fun, I thought I would post a picture of my tachs taken yesterday while fishing. I was prompted to post as somewhere a while back I heard skepticism on a boat for sale regarding both the port and starboard tachs reading exactly the same. Bill F.

Yanmar motor mounts (isolaters)
This topic has 5 replies, has 3 voices, and was last updated by 3 years ago
January 22, 2018 at 8:45 am I was going to call Tony and talk to him about my motor mounts (Yanmar 4LHA-STE) and what he would suggest for replacements. I decided to ask my questions here so that others may learn as I do. I have really old style Yanmar mounts which were installed during my repower by Tony in 2000, thus they are 18 years old. I have attached a picture that shows one of the mounts. There are more and better pictures on this site in the section on my repowe…
5 RepliesFebruary 24, 2021 at 9:35 am Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. I’ve been “on the road”, so to speak. I was able to find the original, old fashioned style mounts. So I can not really say anything about which R&D mount to use. Although, I just remembered that a friend of mine just purchased some R&D mounts. I will check with him and find out which ones he got and how they work. He also has 4LHA-STEs. Standby. Bill

Question For Tony
This topic has 5 replies, has 2 voices, and was last updated by 6 years ago
August 14, 2017 at 7:32 pm Hi Tony, For those not familiar, my question is for a Yanmar 4LHA-STE. In the shut off circuit, there is a relay, which when the stop button is pushed, directs power to the fuel shut-off solenoid. The relay on my port motor has apparently failed. Solenoid is fine. My question is: is this relay really necessary? And if so why. I think I know but would like to hear other opinions. I would actually like to remove it from the circuit. Thanks Bill
5 RepliesAugust 19, 2017 at 8:07 pm Bill, Like usual, when you finally “got into it” , you sorted it out as to what needs to be done, but even more important, you sorted out how it actually was supposed to work…………..That’s the key as to any system on on boat, UNDERSTANDING IT. And yes, kinda crazy how Yanmar set up there “relays”–Just hanging there on a pull tie or something.. Anyway, thanks for this and hopefully…

July 1, 2017 at 4:46 pm This message is for Tony, My SeaFirst ram cylinder model HC-125B-7 is leaking. Is there a rebuild kit available for this or do you know what seals and/or “O” rings are required to get it back in operation. Thanks Bill
