Went to check transmission fluid level today – Haven’t been out much in the last two months so it’s been a while, but only about 10 engine hours worth of time has passed.

When I unscrewed the dipstick there was either a vacuum sucking, or over pressure blowing (couldn’t tell, I’m at almost full arm length reaching the stick) sound. Both levels were fine. Any idea what’s up? I can’t remember hearing that sound any other time I’ve check the level.

It is normal to be under a slight vacuum. Due to the breather the heat and cool cycle creates a slight vacuum in the case.
