    Hi
    I have a 2000 Tiara 31 Open with Cummins 330B motors
Can anyone confirm where the tach signal comes from? Took my tachometer in for rebuild and they say my tachs are getting signal from something other than the magnetic pick up
I havenā€™t seen any variation to this anywhere Iā€™ve read.
Anybody know if they used anything else ?
My controls are all manual no ECU or anything
    Any insights would be appreciated

    Sync

    Hi Rob
Is this possible if there is no synchronizer on the boat?
I do know the signal is not coming from the magnetic pick up as I plugged in a cheap working tach I got on amazon and unplugged the mag pick up and it kept working.
Should I assume that sender is under the fan belt cage?

That boat likely has a synch setup with mech tach drive on front of engine at timing cover
