rubber hose sealant?

Hi, for the raw water plumbing, RW pump to AC, AC to HX etc, whats the go to sealant between the cast alloy housings and the raw water rubber hoses? on mine looks like something yellow translucent used… looking at seaboards products , rectoll # 5? or do i just go back to our usual silicon products or nothing at all FMPE works well.

RECTORSEAL #5————————-Nothing comes close and I have tried them all for 33 yrs now when I first realized that something needed to go on pipes, barbs, etc when you put a hose over it and then clamp it.. Temps need to be under 250F -ish….Turbo hoses are so-so with #5 –it will start to turn brown / get ugly at about 300F……… If over that, use a higher temp rated “pipe-type” dope.. ..
