Leave tank full all winter or leave room for fresh fuel?

Whats the best thing for the fuel tank/system or does it matter. Should l fill it up and let it sit since my boat isn’t used as much in the winter or leave it 1/2 full so to put fresh fuel in come spring? What’s the consensus or is there one?

Joe,
I’m up here in MA/NH.

I don’t recall ever treating a diesel fuel tank for winter layup and I put the boats away with whatever amount is in the tank.
Never an issue.
