Tony I don’t see a Tony’s Tips about this but after following this forum for several years I see a number of people having major rebuilds after valve train failures, turbos blown, etc on 6BTA’s.

Do you have a schedule that you go by for things like:
How often to routinely adjust the valves.
Pull and have cleaned service the injectors.
How often to actually remove, inspect and replace the turbo.
I’ve got it for the Aftercoolers (nice videos)
Remove Oil Coolers and Clean and service (if ever)
Replace a head gasket – preventative.
Replace one of your SS Exhaust Riser Units
    Any other

Valve train failures and turbo issues are 99% the result of engine overloading and poor exhaust design and injector issues are due to poor quality fuel being fed to them.

Do your proactive oil and coolant changes. As to the valves and injectors, unless you have a sign that something is not right: Valves adjusted every 1,500 hours or so and don’t even think about the injectors for 10K hours if your filtration is top notch.

Never really gave any thought as to the SS riser life…
