I have a single 6BT (built 10/86) on my Albin 36 trawler. I currently have a tired Delco 17si (I think) alternator that is rated at 105A that I am replacing. I would like to install an alternator that is rated in the 150A to 200A range so I can pull a little more power than just my starting battery bank. I find the alternator options and configurations somewhat overwhelming. I would like some suggestions on bracket and alternator configurations that could be fit without major reconfiguration.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions and recommendations.
