I have Cummins Electronic engine gauges for my QSM11’s. The Stbd gauge has no backlight at night. The Port is fine. I used the manual to adjust it, but it shows it’s on highest power light. Is there a bulb in there somewhere that might need to be replaced? If so should I screw the gauge out from the front, or try to reach up behind it under the console?

Thanks and Happy 4th of July!

If it was me, I wouldn’t replace it either… if you need to see it at night, just bring a flashlight!

    Thanks for the reply

I am choking a bit on the $1,200 to replace something that works but doesn’t light up. I rarely run at night anyway. I might replace this gauge but it won’t be this season. I have 2 in College and 2 in private high school….

    Thanks again – great website!

That is a Cummins ED-3 display… when it goes… it goes. You can try to open it up and replace the light but I’ve never seen anyone do it and have no idea what type of light it uses.

Only option I know is to replace it… From us the only option is the ED-X display (which we think is much better anyways…)

    Let us know!

    Thanks Tony

will take and post a picture tomorrow. The engines are 2007, so I could see the display light being “dead”.

Post a good pic of your display–99%, it’s and old display with no way to fix–It’s just getting “dim”..
