    Coolant

I replaced my coolant last winter on all my engines.i went with the fleet guard because I was able to purchase the concentrate on line for the same price as what I would have paid for the prestone and it was factory recommended.besides I do like the blue color.Bill

As Bill D said– Brand Name 50-50 coolant, but if not Fleetguard, you need to replace your coolant filter with a WF2074 ( 4 units of DCA) . With Fleetguard, a WF2072 will keep your DCA in check.

Overall, all of the B’s, C’s, QSB’s, & QSC’s and not that coolant sensitive like many engines are..

I now own my 5th 6BTA 370, the smaller cousin to the 6CTA.

I have never used “Cummins” brand coolant.

I use 50/50 pre mix Prestone, or 50/50 NAPA pre mix or any other name brand 50/50.

IMO your 6CTA is fine using the same brands, or if you’ll sleep better at night, use the Cummins…no biggee either way.

    Keep us posted !
