I have a recon Cummins 6bta the on engine fuel filter housing will not accept the supplied fleet guard FF 5285 filter. The nipple is to small to accept the filter.i can remove the nipple but cannot find a replacement nipple the correct size. Help.

If they were shipped with FF5285 does that mean that the filter was shipped on the filter head or were the filters in a box on the pallet with the engine?

We can supply you with the right insert. Just give me a call on Monday. They are not expensive, but you will have to pay shipping. (805) 382 – 6287.

If there is more stuff that you need i will throw in the insert for free.

Tony I am installing the engines now. The engines where supplied with FF 5285 fleet guard filters! I am remote mounting the on engine fuel filter housings keeping all plumbing the same using your double double filtration system. The nipple was correct on starboard engine wrong on port engine same housings

POST a picture on the “on-engine” filter and the plumbing to & from it.. Something seems very ODD.

I asked for the model of the exact filter you are using now.. ????

    1) What exact 6BTA? Sounds like a Nippon Denso Fuel system.. Only the Bosch system (M3’s) use the 5285)

    2) What exact filter are you using now ?

    3) Look at the pic–Is this what you are dealing with? If so, you need the new FF42000 or something that crosses to it
