I have an intermittent throttle problem on one of my QSM11’s (on a 2005 Sea Ray 500) that gives a fault code of 432. Cummins tells me that code refers to the “throttle acceleration pedal” being out of alignment or needing to be replaced. I have no idea what that is and Cummins, SeaRay, and Mercruiser aren’t much help. Basically, when this happens the engine will only run at idle speed. The throttle seems to become disabled. There does not seem to be any consistency to when this happens or not. Any help or ideas would be appreciated as it will be a month until Cummins can get to the boat.

That’s a good question. The only paperwork I have on the throttles is from Teleflex but I believe that may be who makes the cables. No markings on throttle themselves. I’ll call SRay. Thanks

That kind of throttles do you have? If they are Glendinning itā€™s probably time to remove the throttle and send it back to them for service. They are great on the phone so call them first.
