So I am a little confused. You sell a cleaning and oiling kit for the S&B Filters that go with the CCV kits. The instructions for the cleaning kit say not to use anything but the cleaning solution and then re-oil the filters using the supplied filter oil.

But, under the cleaning and care tab on the filter ordering page you indicate that the filters can be cleaned simply by using Dawn or some other dish soap and oiling is not necessary as there is plenty of oil floating around in the engine rooms.

Help me out here. I would much rather just use Dawn and clean my filters rather than having to go through all the cleaning and oiling process of the cleaning kit.

    Thanks in advance.

You can clean with soap & water, Simple Green or 409, or use a cleaning kit… Your call… Your are washing out DIRT/DUST/BELT DUST,etc etc and the old oil..

Just use common sense is what I am all about.. Not trying to confuse..
