I have twin 6CTA 450hp Diamond series with Walker Airsep intake filters. Any improvements in performance and fuel consumption if i change to K&N filter unit same as advertised on SBMar online shop?

    Awie,

This is not an IMO, take this as FACT…..

Whether you use a factory supplied Paper air cleaner element made buy Donaldson or Fleetguard, a Walker Airsep, or what we supply made by S&B, you will not see any difference in performance or fuel consumption if the system you have installed is in proper working condition…

As to other benefits or features, there you have major differences………. Engine room cleanliness, noise, cost of the unit, cost of long term maintenance or cost of ownership over a 2000 hour period, ease of installation & time needed to service, etc,etc……………………..Each has their Pro’s & Con’s.. But for 100% sure, saving fuel IS NOT one of them regardless of the advertising “claims”..

    Tony
