    Hi Guys,
Hopefully, you guys can help with troubleshooting why the tach is not working on my 2013 Cummins 6bt 210 hp motor. I have swapped the gauge panels from one engine to another and the tach will not work on the starboard engine. Once I swap the starboard gauge panel and connect it to the port engine the tach works which tells me its something between the motor and the gauge panel. Where should I start to look to find the issue? Thanks in advance for the help I really appreciate it. I have attached an example of the gauge panel I have in my boat.

What sender do you have? I just dealt with one that was a mechanical sender. Was the same issue you are having.

    Wiring

If these are analog gauges, they should require a ground, a signal wire and a power wire from the sensor – could any of the wiring/connections be disconnected? If they are digital (say Smart Craft, it is a different ball game).
